Settlers of Catan Board Game Zone

In Settlers of Catan, C & K, what are the rules on "The saboteur" and "merchant fleet."?

It appear to be two versions of these bases. In our rule book we had with Catan, Saboteur card states: "Each player gets victory points or more, which should throw away half of his letters to the bank. "Things been online sources about turning the cities that make resources, while the first ore and wood are paid. The merchant fleet in the regulation clearly states that "You can use a resource or commidity more options for a series of trade 2:1 supply during the turn you play this card. "Many online sources (if not all) shows you all can share resources to 2:1, as in the wood trade could and brick 2 1 2 sheep of a brick on the same lap. What are the rules are correct?

For the saboteur, the old rule is correct. I'm not sure. For the merchant fleet, you can use either. Depends how you want to play. I went with the rule book, everything. Internet is not always right.
