Rule Clarification for Settlers of Catan, Cities and Knights. By Mayfare Games. About Knights blocking roads.?
Ok, so in the rule book it states that a knight placed at the intersection of 2 different player's roads will cause an interruption in the trade route from the player (whom did not place the knight)'s settlement/city to the space beyond the opposing player's knights. This means that if a red player places a knight at an intersection, and a blue player has the end of his road meeting the same intersection, the blue player cannot build anything past the red player's knight.
my question is this, if a red knight were placed in the middle of a blue player's road, interrupting his road as per the rules, would this also keep the blue player from building anything beyond the red player's knight, if he already has roads build beyond it, but nothing else?
Blue can still build beyond the Red Knight. The requirement for Blue to build is that new roads and settlements must be connected to an existing Blue road - that requirement is still met.
Of course, the Red Knight does interrupt Blue's road for purposes of Longest Road.

Settlers of Catan is the best game ever!!
There are actually several different versions of Settlers of Catan on-line. There are some that are java based like JSettlers, and there are some that are stand alone applications like Sea3D. Of these two I like Sea3D much better…but it does not allow for Computer Players to play against you.
