artisans, it would be preferable to design a game piece?.
I wanted to make custom-made pieces for the game "Settlers of Catania." They do not receive heavy wear to play, but I was wondering what would be best, much less the difference, to launch - clay or plaster? Both must be painted without any problem. Suggestions?
Polymer clay defintely be better than the cast, especially if you use a strong brand / line **. Air dry clay is another possibility, but not so good a polymer in many respects. If you want to see certain parts of another game made with polymer clay, check out this page on my site: http://glassattic.com/polymer/kids_beginners.htm (Click category ... Games in the bottom of the list at the top of the page ... and you can see the faults and other parts of the class) (if you decide on polymer clay also look at the table of contents page for everything else in the use of clay ... kitchen, etc .... http://glassattic.com/polymer/contents.htm then use the navigation bar in alphabetical order on the left to go to a page that interests you) ** polymer clays are more strong after firing All fields are thin or projection Premo, FimoClassic, Kato and Cernit Polyclay United States ... less strong in these areas are Sculpey, SuperSculpey, Sculpey III, and to a lesser extent, FimoSoft B.
